Jim Lee is a Korean-American comic book artist, writer and publisher.

Jim Lee started his artistic works when he took up an art class. After graduating from Princeton University, he cancelled his studies for medical school and try his luck in the world of comics.

He met editor Archie Goodwin, as Lee was invited to Marvel Comics and eventually hired by Carl Potts. In 1989, he did the illustration for the Uncanny X-Men No. 248 issue and for the Acts of Vengeance storyline. He co-created the character of Gambit, along with writer Chris Claremont.

Lee helped the launching of X-Men volume 2 in 1991. It was the best selling comic book of all time which has reached more than 8 million copies. Then, in 1992 he joined along with six other artists and form Image Comics. He published WildC.A.T.s under Wildstorm Productions.

In 1998, he left Image Comics and sold Wildstorm to DC Comics. Lee collaborated on 12-part issue of Batman, along with Jeph Loeb. He did the artwork for Daughtry's album, Leave This Town in 2009.

Lee's other notable illustration works under his names which includes The New 52, Robotech, All Star Batman & Robin: The Boy Wonder, Superman Unchained, and Justice League of America, among others.
