Rihanna’s home was the site of a recent robbery, but it wasn’t the singer’s property that the thief made off with. Her driver’s car was allegedly stolen from her property, which marks the second crime that’s taken place at Rihanna’s home in weeks.
According to TMZ, the driver told law enforcement that he left the keys in the engine while he quickly ran into Rihanna’s LA home to grab something. However, when he returned, the 2012 Audi Sedan was nowhere to be found. The driver alleges that someone must’ve jumped in the car and driven off while he was inside the home.
Police are reportedly investigating, but it’s not known if there are any leads. Rihanna hasn’t publicly commented on the crime, and it’s also unclear if she was home when it occurred.
The singer had another scary situation at her home on Thursday when a man came to the property claiming he wanted to propose to her.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released publicly, reportedly traveled 2,500 miles from South Carolina to reach Rihanna’s home. However, he was stopped by security before he could get to the singer and was subsequently arrested by police for trespassing.
The suspect was eventually released from custody and not charged, since he hadn’t broken any laws. But was told to not return to Rihanna’s property under any conditions.
Rihanna has faced similar incidents in the past. In 2018, a man was discovered after spending at least a day living inside Rihanna’s home. The 26-year-old was somehow able to disarm the home’s security system upon entering. When found, he claimed he was there to have sex with her.
Apparently, the trespasser had broken into another home earlier in the month, as he wrongly believed it was Rihanna’s residence. He was arrested for stalking as well as residential burglary and trespassing. Rihanna reportedly wasn’t home when he entered her residence.
Rihanna has been ultra-protective of her privacy since welcoming her first child, a son, with ASAP Rocky last year. Now, the couple are expecting their second child. With Rihanna’s growing family in mind, it won’t be surprising if she increases her security detail in the wake of the recent crimes… or ends up moving altogether.
